How it All Started
The idea to develop a line of personalized cards, invitations, and other stationery items evolved with time. Friends and family members who were familiar with our corporate work (CommDesign) have repeatedly approached us to create that unique card, a special baby announcement or an invitation that would reflect them. It inspired us to see how people reacted to a personal, hand written note – especially in today's world of cyberspace and e-mails. Personalized cards and invitations help us mark special occasions and they are the first step to creating memories of these milestones in our lives.
We enjoy what we do and it gives us the opportunity to celebrate our love of paper, typography and crafts. As more requests came in for items such as social "business cards" (calling cards), photo cards, matching stickers and labels, and moving announcements – we decided to complete this line. U-design.ca presents a fresh collection that we hope to expand with time to meet your requests.
Why U-design?
All the items featured on this site are about U, your family and your social environment. So it only makes sense that U will have your own personal input in creating these personalized items. You are welcome to formulate and submit your own content (text) and choose from a selection of fonts and colors. Some designs are offered in several color schemes and others offer the option to change the border, frame, or initial color. Please contact us directly at creative@u-design.ca, specify the item you are interested in and ask if certain changes can be done without additional cost. We will get back to you promptly.
We are proud to say that all designs featured on this web site are created by us. All card sizes comply with Canada Post regulations in order to meet Standard Postage (unlike others on the market that represent U.S. suppliers with formats that are often outside the Canadian standard postage).
Custom Design
Since all of the products on u-design.ca are created in our studio, we are able to change borders, colours, fonts, and create new designs upon request. If you have an idea for an item you feel "one shouldn't miss" or a request for a specific design – please e-mail us or call us at 514.544.0906. We will be happy to give you an estimate for custom design according to your wishes.
