Privacy Policy

We take your privacy seriously. The following sets forth U-design’s treatment of personally identifiable information that we collect when you are on the U-design web site (the "Site"), and when you use U-design’s products and services. This privacy policy (the "Policy") also covers U-design’s treatment of any personally identifiable information that U-design’s business partners share with us. This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that U-design does not own or control, or to people that U-design does not employ or manage.

1. Information Collection and Use.
You are not required to provide personal information to browse the Site. U-design collects personally identifiable information when you place on-line orders with U-design for our products and/or services. When you place an order with U-design, we ask for your name, address, postal code, telephone number, and email address. Since we use PayPal for online payments, we will NOT ask you for any payment information.
Any of the information asked on our forms, for billing or to complete transactions, whether via the Site or through our customer service representatives is confidential. All names and information collected on this web site are for the exclusive use of U-design und will not be shared with third parties.
U-design may also receive personally identifiable information from our business partners. U-design also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, browser type, domain names, access time, referring Web site addresses, U-design cookie information and the page you requested.
U-design uses information for three (3) general purposes:

  • to fulfill your requests for certain products and services;
  • to contact you about specials and new products; and
  • for the operation of the Site, to maintain quality and to provide statistics regarding the use of the Site.

2. Information Sharing and Disclosure.
U-design will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. U-design respects your privacy and is committed to ensuring that your email address will not be redistributed. However, U-design will send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when U-design:

  • has your consent to share the information;
  • needs to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested;
  • requires assistance to analyze statistics;
  • requires assistance to send out electronic or regular mailings;
  • requires technical support;
  • needs to send the information to companies who work on behalf of U-design to provide a product or service to you. (Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.); or
  • needs to protect and defend its rights and interests, respond to subpoenas, court orders or other legal processes.

3. Cookies.
U-design may set and access "cookies" on your computer. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your computer by a Web page server and is used to tell the Web server you have returned to a specific page. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies by setting your Web browser appropriately.
U-design may also use Web beacons to access our cookies within our network of Web sites in connection with U-design products and services.

4. Security.
In certain areas, U-design uses industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect data transmissions. Unfortunately, it is difficult to provide a 100% security guarantee regarding the transmission of data on the Internet. Although we take all necessary precautions to protect your personal information, U-design cannot ensure or guarantee that the transmission of your information to us online is secure. You therefore transmit this information at your risk. Upon receiving your information, U-design will take all precautions to ensure security on its systems.

5. Changes to Privacy Policy.
U-design may edit the Privacy Policy from time to time. If U-design makes any substantial changes, we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on our Site.

6. Enforcement.
U-design enforces strict company privacy policies for all employees. While we cannot guarantee that loss or misuse of data will not occur, we take all the necessary precautions to prevent such instances.
